3322580 - Source on the Candidate Summary Page shows a different value from Source in Recruiting V2 Report - Recruiting Management

This article describes the reason for the difference between the Source column in the Candidate Summary Page and the Source column in the Recruiting V2 Report.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

View from the Candidate Summary Page:

a. Open a requisition and view the Candidate list. 
b. In the Display options, make sure that Source is among the selected fields. Note: There is a Source and Candidate Source column, please note of that difference. 
c. You will see Source as one of the columns shown for the candidates in the pipeline, along with Name, Status, Candidate Type, etc. 
d. The Source column will show specific information like Recruiting Marketing: Direct, Recruiting Marketing: LinkedIn Job Postings, etc. 

However, when the same field is selected in the ad hoc reports, it does not show the same specific data.

View from the Ad hoc Report:

a. Create an ad hoc report for Recruiting V2 > Application > Source.
b. The Source column does not show any  specific information regarding the candidate source, but only shows information like Jobs2Web or Corporate site. 

The Source field on the Candidate Workbench or Candidate Summary Page shows the source value as 'localized' enum label.

The Source field on the Ad hoc Report shows the source value as 'default' enum label without localization. 

This is currently confirmed as expected behavior. The Source in the Candidate Summary Page or Candidate Workbench will have more specific source information than the Source field in the Application Ad hoc Recruiting V2 data. 

Workaround: Report the Application > Source Details instead of Source. It will provide the necessary application source information. 

Notes: 

a. The Source in Candidate Summary corresponds to the Source in Recruiting V2 report. 

b. The Candidate Source in the Candidate Summary corresponds to Source Details in Recruiting V2 report. 

The 'Source' field is designed to provide high-level information where the candidate application comes from, while the 'Candidate Source' is designed to provide the specific information where the candidate information comes from.
