3322965 - How is the Planned order date in Purchase request determined.

You may see this field in Purchase request tracking report and  wondering how is this date determined.

•  Open any  purchase request , Don't click on view all
•  Go to general tab and we see field "planned order date" and 'planned delivery date' as well

or

• Open the report 'Purchase Request Tracking'
• Filter with a Purchase request ID 
• You will see values under column 'Planned Order Date'

The planned Order date is automatically calculated by the system based on the delivery date

Planned order date generally means  :

When Order need to be planned such that delivery date is not impacted and proper escalation are made.So  to identify the Planned order date system is using below logic to identify the planned order date.

Logic given below is as per priority:

1) Default from SCM :  Go to Supply planning Work center>products(view)- Select  the product and click open> you will see purchase request ID> the date appearing against it is planned order date .

2) Lead time from contract if assigned: If in contract id(Purchase request--> items tab--> source of supply sub tab --> contract ID) exist then Lead time is assigned  it will take the planned order date from here .

Go to Sourcing and contracting work center> Go to contracts view> search for the contract and select and open it> go to items and basic data sub tab> Field' lead time ' is there.> if that has a Value then system takes Planned order date as that many days before delivery period start date of PR.

3) Lead time from product if available: If in product ,lead time is available it will pick the planned order date from here .Open the product master data--> Planning tab --> field 'Procurement lead time'> if that has a Value then system takes Planned order date as  that many days before delivery period start date of PR.

4) 5 days before delivery period start date: Planned order date  will be 5 days before delivery period start date of PR.
