3323330 - Errors or corrupted data when reading flat files - Data Services

Symptom

  • Flatfile processing issue, errors or corrupted data.
  • Flat file text fields contain double quotes within the data, so double quote as text qualifier is not working.
  • Flat file text fields contain commas within the data, so comma as field delimiter is not working.
  • Text delimiter is set to " and the columns contain " within the data.
  • Column delimiter is set to comma, however there are commas within the data.
  • Error: End of file was found without reading a complete row for file <PathToFile>. The expected number of columns was <Number> while the number of columns actually read was <Number>. Please check the input file for errors or verify the schema specification for the file format. The number of rows processed was <Number>.
  • Row data is shifted into incorrect columns in flat file output when using text qualifier and field delimiter that is also seen within the data fields.
  • 'FIL-080105: A row delimiter was seen for row number'.
