3323628 - Business partner internal ID does not exist (/SCMTMS/TRQ 259)

Symptom

In a side-by-side integration scenario between an S/4HANA TM system and another SAP ERP or S/4HANA system, OTR/DTR XML messages fail to process. The system issues the following error:

"Business partner internal ID &1 does not exist (/SCMTMS/TRQ 259)"

This error may occur even when the business partner is visible in transaction BP.

SAP Transportation Management embedded in SAP S/4HANA side-by-side deployment (release independent).
