3324039 - Cannot open List Prices from Microsoft Excel due error: "Not enough rows in table for XYZ code list. Add more rows."

You are unable to download Excel template to upload List Prices.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Portfolio work center.
2. Go to List Prices view.
3. Click in New button and select List Prices from Microsoft Excel.
4. It opens a new tab in the browser and it shows message:

• Error ID: AP_UI_OIN 043
• Error text: Not enough rows in table for XYZ code list. Add more rows.
• Please report an incident if the error persists.

XYZ can be MeasureUnitCode or GeneralLedgerAccountAliasCode.

For example:

• Error text: Not enough rows in table for MeasureUnitCode code list. Add more rows.
• Error text: Not enough rows in table for GeneralLedgerAccountAliasCode code list. Add more rows.

This scenario is a known issue. Application developers are requested to keep as many buffer rows as possible to accommodate code list enhancements from customers.

Firstly please try to follow the steps below:

Steps to download and correct the template:

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
3. Open the Advanced Filter.
4. Filter:

• Template Group: List Price – Worklist
• Template Type: Microsoft Excel® (Write-back)

5. Click in Go.
6. Download the required template language variant.
7. Open the xlsx file that was downloaded.
8. Extend the data area at the end, in order to create buffer lines (Please check the screenshot below).
9. Save it.

Now the steps to replace with the new template:

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
3. Click in Upload button and select Replace Existing Language Variant.
4. Browse the file that you saved earlier.
5. Click in OK.
6. Click in Publish.
7. Click in Yes.

Now you should be able to follow the steps to select 'List Prices from Microsoft Excel' and face no errors.

In case you are still facing errors, please report an incident to SAP Support so the template related to List Prices can be retrieved from backend system. Then you can save the given Excel template we gave you for future use in Application and User Management work center - Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.

Please note that if you still face issues even after using the new given Excel template, the cause may be due to template versions. Please verify if the other templates are relevant for you process by following the steps below:

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view. 
3. Search for List Prices. 
4. Check if there are templates that were manually created by business users. 
5. If they are not relevant, you may delete them.
6. Try to launch the new Excel for List Price.
