3324209 - The hide option does not work in the BW live table after the transport in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

In SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), after you transport a story from one SAC system to another, in the target system, the hidden option of the table is kept but the members in the hidden option are displayed in the table.

In detail, there are 2 strange behaviors:

• the rows set as hidden are displayed in the table
• if you remove a member from the hidden option, a different member is displayed in the table

This issue happens with the BW live connection where Universal Display Hierarchy (UDH) is used.

The SAC stories in the source system and the target system point to 2 different BW systems.

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Transport an BW live story from the source system to the target system by the tgz file or the content network.
2. Open the story in the target system.
3. The hide option is kept in the table information. However, it is not working( the members in the hide option is displayed in the table)

The SAC story with table is transported. It contains information on hidden row/columns. The information is stored by using the IDs of the dimension members.

UDH is an artificial dimension created on the fly. The SAC story in the target system points to a different BW system. The BW query in this system is either transported from another BW system or even recreated. It is similar to BW query used in the other BW system, but not identical. The IDs returned for the members of the (artificial) UDH dimension are different even if the description shown in the table are the same. 

So the transport of the BW data or pointing to a different BW query is jeopardizing the information on hidden rows/columns. The SAC transport does not play a role. 'Repointing' an SAC table to a different query can have the same effect.

The current solution is: to redo the hidden settings in the story in the target system.

The SAC development team are working on an improvement. But the team are currently limited by the way members of a UDH dimension are identified. This can change specifically when transporting BW query and data. So the estimated date of this improvement is not decided yet.
