3324541 - Datasphere (Data Warehouse Cloud) Analytic models are not available in SAC Analytic Designer

Symptom

When selecting dataset or model as the data source in SAC Analytic Designer, user can not choose Datasphere (used to be known as Data Warehouse Cloud/ DWC) Analytic models via Datasphere connection, only Datasphere datasets are available.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2023.8.0.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new analytic application.
  2. When selecting dataset from "select dataset or model" panel, the Datasphere connection is not available, so user cannot select analytic models from Datasphere connection.

Cause

Optimized Story Experience is not supported with Datasphere Integration in analytics application.

Resolution

Datasphere connection for analytic models is currently only supported for Optimized Design Mode story (Story 2.0).

For Classic Design Mode story and analytic application, it is recommended to use the "SAP Datasphere Analytical Dataset" option.
