Please note this KBA is only relevant if you have activated Master Data Integration (MDI) for Project Controlling Objects.

With this article, SAP informs customers that MDI would be replaced with a generic solution (MDI client, also known as MDI ABAP Client, ABAP Client Adapter or ABAP Protocol Adapter).
