Symptom

  • Auditing segment filled up:
AUDIT PROCESS EXCEPTION: Can't allocate space for either syslogs or the current sysaudit table in database 'sybsecurity' because the corresponding segment is full/has no free extents.
  • Auditing was turned off, truncated the audit table, ran "sp_configure 'current audit table', 1 'with truncate'", set up a second audit segment and audit table, and turned-on auditing.
  • Auditing as turned off and on and switched the tables a few times.
  • Originally. the "suspend audit when device is full" configuration option was set to 1.
  • It was then set to 0 to flush the audit queue and then set "suspend audit when device is full" back to 1.
  • Everything looks ok but nothing is getting logged in either table.
