3326192 - Certificate expiry alerts in your CF tenant are failing with "Unexpected character '=' (code 61); expected a semi-colon after the reference for entity 'client_id'"

Symptom

  • You encounter the subject error when configuring certificate expiry alerts in your CF tenant by following the technology blog by SAP: Cloud Integration – Automated Notification for Client Certificates Reaching Expiry.
  • After deployment the messages are failing at the OData receiver adapter step with a similar error:

    com.sap.gateway.core.ip.component.odata.exception.OsciException: An exception of type 'WstxUnexpectedCharException' occurred., cause: com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxUnexpectedCharException: Unexpected character '=' (code 61); expected a semi-colon after the reference for entity 'client_id'
