Symptom
You have assigned BTP roles to certain users, however those users are not able to access iRPA / BPA factory.
Only the Initial user who scoped iRPA/BPA have access to the factory.
Environment
SAP Business bydesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Application and User Management work center.
- Enter the Business Users view.
- Search for the business user that needs access to the iRPA / BPA factory.
- Select the user.
- Click on the Assign BTP Roles button.
- Assign the role(s) and save the changes.
Even after setting up the BTP roles, the user does not have access to the factory.
Cause
Users were not set up in IAS tenant by the initial user.
Resolution
The initial user who scoped iRPA/BPA receives the IAS tenant URL via e-mail. From the IAS tenant URL the initial user can setup user accounts and accesses to the BPA factory.
In order to allow other users to access the IRPA/BPA factory, follow the below steps:
- Ensure that the user is assigned to a BTP role (please refer to the Steps to Reproduce Section of this KBA).
- With the initial user who has the access to IAS tenant, assign the Email address of the users who need the access the IRPA factory.
After this assignment, the users should get an e-mail with the access notification for the iRPA / BPA factory.
