  • The value "" (empty string) on the source HANA database is transferred to " " (a space) on target MS SQL database by SLT
  • The value " " (a space) on source MS SQL database is transferred to "" (empty string) on target HANA database by SLT

The above can also occur when replicating from/to ABAP systems (NetWeaver / BASIS installed), with the same underlying databases.
