3326944 - Expense Report is not displayed in Project Not Invoiced Times and Expenses

When you are creating a Project Invoice Request you notice that the expenses are not available to be invoiced, then you check the Not Invoiced Times and Expenses for the Project ABC (ABC represents the Project ID) and you see that only Time Recordings are available.

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Select Not Invoiced Times and Expenses view.
3. Search for ABC.
4. Click on New Automatic Project Invoice Request.

See that only Time Confirmations are available.

2. Select Time and Expenses view.
3. Search for ABC.
4. Group By Source Document Type.

See that only Time Confirmations are available.

Missing configuration in the Implementation Project, the scoping option "Expense Recording" was not activated in Business Configuration - Implementation Projects work center.

In order to activate this please follow the below steps:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Select Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the Project.
4. Click on Edit Project Scope.
5. Navigate to step 3 - Scoping.
6. Expand Project Management.
7. Expand Project Planning and Execution.
8. Check the box for Expense Recording.
9. Click on Next until step 5 - Review.
10. Click on Finish.

The scoping element Expense Recording business topic allows project team members to record miscellaneous and travel expenses. The project team member can then assign the expenses to either projects or cost centers. The project manager can approve expenses recorded to projects.

Then create a new Expense Report, assign it to a Project, approve it and check whether the related Expenses appear now in Project Management.
