When a class is scheduled, the system skips non-working days (Saturday and Sunday). How can a class be scheduled to automatically happen on such days?
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Creating a ILT or Blended Item that should happen through the weekend as well >
- Schedule the class >
- The system by default skips Saturday and Sunday >
- The admin has to manually correct the Agenda
The system has a default setting for Saturday and Sunday being a non working day and hence the issue.
The resolution for this would be to create a work week profile as per your requirement based on the working days for the organization.
To create a Work week profiles navigate to Learning Administration > References > Calendars and Time > Work Week Profile >
- Add new >
- Choose the working days of the week >
Once the Work week profile is added, we need to associate this work week profile to a Facility under References > Physical Resources > Facilities where the class is going to be held. Now while scheduling the Class, select this Facility and the system will consider the working days of the week as per the work week profile associated with the Facility. This way we can choose the working days of the week that we wish to have.
NOTE: Saturday and Sunday are also skipped when slots are copied (class record > Agenda tab > copy). And the cause and resolution are the same as mentioned above. In case the facility needs to be added to the class after its creation, navigate to the Details tab > search for the Facility field to add it.
The slots copied/created before the facility gets added to to class need to be correct manually, if required. Only the slots created/copied after the Facility gets added won't skip non-working days.
