3328525 - Employee Profile fields are not showing in UDF

Symptom

Some fields in Employee Profile are showing in Employee Profile but not showing in the UDF file (Employee Export)

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

Logon with admin user
Go to Admin Center
Go to Employee Export
Export the user data file (UDF)
When opening, you notice that there are some fields that show up the employee profile that don't show up in the UDF columns

Cause

Use information in SAP SuccessFactors system includes two types: basic user information and extended user information Extended User Information | SAP Help Portal

Only basic user information (both Required and Optional columns) can be shown in UDF Field Requirements for the User Data File | SAP Help Portal

Fields like dateofbirth, nationality are Extended user information, won't be shown in UDF.

Resolution

If you want the Extended User Information to be shown in UDF, you need to map Extended User Information field to a custom field in Basic User Information, then run HRIS sync job to sync field values.
