3328927 - "The dimension couldn't be loaded.' when you create an SAC model with the BPC import connection

The following error message occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) when you try to create a model with the BPC datasource:

• The dimension couldn't be loaded.
• In the developers tool (F12) -> Console tab, you see the following error:
  • message: "Object DIMENSION:t.3.xxxxxxx:<dimension name> was not found or you do not have permissions to read it."

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log in to the SAC tenant
2. Go to Modeler > From a Data Source > SAP BPC for SAP BW/4HANA or other BPC data sources
3. Select the Connection
4. Create a new query
5. Select the BPC environment and model
6. Select the fields and do the mapping and set the filters if needed
7. Click 'Finish' and see the error message

It is caused by the attribute "DESCRIPTION" of the BPC dimension corresponding to the SAC dimension recorded in the F12 console error.

"DESCRIPTION" is a reserved key of dimension.

If it is possible to update the BPC dimension, we would suggest you try:

delete "DESCRIPTION" or replace it with another name. e.g. "DESC" (BPC doesn't support modify attribute name, you may need to delete "DESCRIPTION" first and then add a new attribute).
