3328936 - DBCO connection failing with the error "Recipient system name does not match with current system name"

Using an SSO connection in transaction DBCO according to SAP note 2005856 is failing with the following error in the Netweaver developer traces (dev_w<XX>):

C  Try to connect as /<pwd>@<hostname>:<port> on connection 2 ...
C  open db connection for user <username> with SAP logon ticket
C  *** ERROR => Connect to database failed, rc=1, rcSQL=1033

In the HANA indexserver traces this error is reported in addition:

w Authentication   SAPLogonManager.cpp(00422) : The received SAP Assertion ticket is addressed for another system.  Recipient data different. SSO_RC return value: 24
