Symptom
A single user ID is creating a large number of sessions, until new sessions start being rejected.
At the transaction SM21, the following entry is logged:
[date and time] [instance name] DIA 001 [client] [user ID] R2K Resource usage exceeds limit (Resource=LOGON, Limit=xxx, Curr.=xxx)
For Web Applications the message is : "429 Too many logons"
The trace file of the corresponding work process (dev_wXX) has the following entries, at the same timestamp as the SM21 entry:
M [date and time]
M ***LOG R2K=> DpILogonCntTabChange, Resource Check () [dpLogonCntTa 622]
M *** WARNING => DpILogonCntTabChange: limit exceeded for [client and user ID] , logons=xxx, GUI=0, HTTP=0, APC=0, APC Conn=0, RFC=xxx, rejects=xxx, rejects_per_sec=1 [dpLogonCntTa 837]
