3329253 - Contain() formula is case sensitive in SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics

Symptom

When working with stories in People Analytics, as per the documentation, formula "CONTAIN()"added on model level is not case sensitive. Help guide: Formula Functions in Calculated Columns for Stories in People Analytics | SAP Help Portal

Current behaviour: using the example "Contain("Cats are grey","aRe")" this should return true, yet it is returning false. The formula seems to be case sensitive. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics
  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to instance
  2. Navigate to Report Center 
  3. Create a new query 
  4. Add model level calculation with CONTAIN() formula
  5. Add the following: "Contain("Cats are grey","aRe")"
  6.  Preview the query results
  7. Notice: it is returning False. As per help page: Formula Functions in Calculated Columns for Stories in People Analytics | SAP Help Portal the result should return true

Cause
