3329546 - Error: Entry XX Is Not a Valid ID Based On The Search Criteria Configured

When creating multiple products using the generic Copy & Paste feature, an error is raised with the text 'Entry xx is not a valid ID based on the search criteria configured.'

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales Workcenter.
2. Navigate to the Sales Quote or Sales Order View.
3. Open an existing document or create a new document.
4. Access the Product facet or Add Product section.
5. Click the paste icon.
6. Copy the product internal ID from an MS Excel file.
7. Paste the data into the table.

The system throws the error message: Entry xx is not a valid ID based on the search criteria configured.

The error message occurs because the Product External ID is maintained for the ID field in the Adaptation mode.

To resolve this issue, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Sales Workcenter
2. Go to Sales Quote / Sales Order View
3. Open any existing document or create new document
4. Go to Product facet or Add Product
5. Go to Adaptation mode
6. Now click on Add button to add the product.
7. Click on the product value selection
8. Click on the edit/pencil icon in the product screen
9. Under the adapt change the value of the drop-down field from Extern
10. End the Adaptation 

Now you can try with any internal ID of the product and see the error doesn't pop up.
