3329621 - /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR Job runs for a long time or even without finishing at all

Symptom

On any ABAP based system using ST-PI, where service related processing has been configured and activated via SDCCN, you are facing any SDCCN tasks not finishing to get processed and in SM37 the related job /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR seems to run endlessly as well.

Side symptoms also may be:

  • ABAP Dumps stating 'SQL error "SQL code: 10350" occurred while accessing table "/BDL/MSGLOG"'
  • System Log entries such as 'Database error 30036 with INS access to table /BDL/MSGLOG'
  • Log of SDCCN task "Maintenance Package" documents the task itself looping attempts of connecting to a certain destination
  • Timeout in program /BDL/SAPLBDL3
  • Error: Time limit exceeded
    Error: System Failure with destination NONE
