"To associate the attachment XXX with ID XXX, please provide the value for field XXX." Error occurs when saving MDF data.

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

1. Go to people profile > MDF portlet or go to manage data to upload attachment for this MDF.
2. Click "Save" button to save record.
3. Error displays "To associate the attachment XXX with ID XXX, please provide the value for field XXX." that prevents you to save data.

This error is due to attachment field has been set from Attachment Field Configuration, and Entity Id is set with a field from the corresponding MDF object, so the Entity Id field becomes a required key value when saving the attachment for this MDF object.

Please make sure the field you set as Entity Id from Attachment Field Configuration has valid value to avoid this error.

As attachment field has been configured in Attachment Field Configuration for document categories, please make sure to give value of Entity Id field.
