3330415 - Managing disk space overload due to Backint-handled SAP HANA log backups in /hana/shared path

Symptom

The SAP HANA log backup stored on the /hana/shared path is leading to an accumulation of disk space.

Despite utilizing KBAs 2988616, 2505218, and 2096851 to clear the log backup, no alteration occurs in the used space as existing log backups from previous years reside on the operating system.

The "ALTER SYSTEM RECLAIM LOG" command also displays an inability to rectify the problem.

Executing the SQL command 'BACKUP CATALOG DELETE ALL BEFORE BACKUP_ID <Backup_Id> COMPLETE' eliminates the backup from the backup catalog, however, the files still exist in the /usr/sap/<SID>/backup/log/SYSTEMDB folder.
