3332624 - Cannot Create New Change Project

Symptom

You are trying to create new change project but the New button is grayed out.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. The New button is grayed out.

Cause

  • The New button is enabled in productive tenants and standalone test tenants.
  • The tenant you are using is a change test tenant for remote change projects. Therefore, it is not possible to create change projects directly in this tenant, which explains why the "New" button is grayed out.

Resolution

In a change (remote) test tenant, change projects need to be created in the productive tenant and subsequently moved from there to test tenant. The creation of the change project and the move have to be triggered in the productive tenant.
