3333030 - Customer Exit variable is not properly working in AO and values are not getting updated as expected

In Analysis for Office, the Customer Exit variable is not working and the values are not getting updated as expected.

One of the symptoms is that the correct data is only shown in the first time, but after re-executing the variables with different values, unexpected data is shown or the previous values remain unchanged.
A common point in this behavior might be the "Merge Variables" option being used.

Ensure that SAP Notes 3348299, 3323744 and all SAP Notes listed in 3333155 and in KBA 3367327 (applicable in case of CDS queries) are implemented in the BW system. Check and follow the instructions in the Solution section of SAP Note 3144996, if applicable.

In case the issue remains even with all SAP Notes implemented in the system, create a case in SAP by selecting component BW-BEX-OT-OLAP-VAR (or BW4-AE-CORE-VAR in case of BW/4HANA).
