You are using SFAPI CompoundEmployee, and you wish to know if it is possible to retrieve the name of an object through the API.
It could be a Foundation Object, or MDF object.

Cause
Expected Behavior, since this is a CompoundEmployee limitation.
Resolution
No, it is not possible.
Via the CompoundEmployee API response you can only retrieve the ExternalCode of the objects where they are referenced. It is not possible to navigate to further attributes or fields like in OData API.
As a workaround for this, please use OData API if possible.
