3334167 - Overall system performance issues when multiple users are doing planning in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

You experience overall system performance issues when multiple users are doing planning processes in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
We identified some repetitive problems, such as:

• System slowness / Non responsive
• Users were unable to copy-paste data in tables
• Story/page filters grayed out
• Unable to Publish data

If you capture the HAR file as per KBA 2280022, you will find warnings indicating that performance-reducing settings have been detected in the model and story. For example,

• The query filter is a hierarchical filter, but is converted to a flat filter with xxxxx elements. This may decrease performance
• The member xxxx has 10 exception aggregation dimensions. More dimensions result in larger data volumes and decreased performance
• The request contains a large number of calculation entities (xx) and  xxxx% of them (xx) are hidden

• SAP Analytics Cloud

There is a higher system load detected caused by a combination of different reasons. 

• There are many public edit versions created, for example, in total 221 and each public edit version uses 2 - 2,5 million facts.
• Many users are using the public edits of a version simultaneously that causes a high load on the system. These public edits are created in the story before any data entry or change can be done. 
• As indicated by the warnings in the HAR file, you are using a too high overall complex scenario. 

Please try to optimize your model and story to reduce the complexity which is causing the expensive requests and therefore such long runtimes.
