3334628 - Optimizer with fair-share fulfill lower non-delivery costs demand

Symptom

You are executing optimizer with fair-share distribution segments, and you observe that segments for lower non delivery costs demands are fulfilled while not all the segments for the more expensive demands are fulfilled.

For example:

Fair-share segments = 4

  • Non-Delivery cost

CAT1 = 80000

CAT2 = 82000

  • Demand:

CAT1 = 500

CAT2 = 500

  • Supply available = 700

  • Demand fulfillment:

CAT1 = 250

CAT2 = 450

Even though CAT2 demand has higher non delivery cost there’s demand being fulfilled for CAT1 demand instead of fulfilling the whole CAT2 demand.

Your expectation is that the whole higher non-delivery cost demand should be fully fulfilled before fulfilling the other demands.
