3334982 - Unable to edit name of a custom home page folder.

Symptom

Custom folders cannot be renamed in "Manage Home Page" as the edit icon is missing.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Reproducing the Issue

Go to “Manage Home Page”.
Organizational Updates.
See a folder/folders are missing the edit icon, and therefore, they cannot be renamed.

Cause

The reason that some folders would be missing the edit icons is because when the folders were created the "Default Language" set in provisioning was different to default language currently set in provisioning. For example, at the time the folder/folders were created the default language was English US, but has since been changed to English UK.

Resolution

Change the default language in provisioning back to the language that was the default language at the time these folders were created.

Once this has been done, the icon will become available once again as per the below screenshot.
