3335545 - Error occurs when creating a production order in 'Production Order with Sales Order - Create' app (CO08)

You get the following error when trying to create a production order in 'Production Order with Sales Order - Create' app (CO08) with reference to a sales order which was created in a different plant.

• Plant XXXX of sales order not same as plant entered.

If you enter the planning plant, the system checks whether this is the plant of the sales order. If it is not, the system issues error message CO646.

If no planning plant is entered, the plant of the sales order is entered as the planning plant.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

1. Go to 'Production Order with Sales Order - Create' app (CO08)
2. Enter the Sales order, Material, production plant and planning plant
3. Click enter
4. Error occurs: Plant XXXX of sales order not same as plant entered.

Standard system behavior.

The reason for this is that the planning plant of the production order is derived from the plant of the sales order by default during creation using 'Production Order with Sales Order - Create' app (CO08), and thus no alternative planning plant can be entered in the production order.
