Symptom

sp_passwordpolicy may display a 9582 error or a 9583 error when setting the minimum numbers of characters or digits.

Error 9582
Warning: The sum of the minimum numbers of alphabetic characters, digits, and special characters in a password is greater than the minimum length of the password.

Error 9583
Warning: The sum of minimum number of uppercase characters and minimum number of lowercase characters in the password is greater than the minimum number of alphabetic characters.
