3336792 - Error "Service not available" when sending a test email - SAP PD

Symptom

  • A repository administrator can automate the sending of emails for passwords, changelist submissions, and other notifications to users by specifying an SMTP server.
  • An SMTP server is specified in the SMTP parameters for notifications.
  • Sending a test email to the sender's email address returns an error:
       Service not available, closing transmission channel. The server response was: 4.3.2 Service not available.
