3336901 - Guided selling - Opportunity Count

Symptom

When you compare the count for opportunities between the Sales work centre Opportunities view and the Guided Selling view, you see different amounts returned.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer with the Guided Selling (ISE) Addon

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work centre
  2. Go to the Opportunities view
  3. Search, for example, for 'All Opportunities'
  4. You get all opportunities returned that your user is allowed to see. As example, we'll say 100.
  5. Now go to the Guided Selling view.
  6. Select the 'All Opportunities' filter.

You might receive a different (potentially lower) amount of opportunities.

Cause

The Guided Selling relies heavily on Sales Cycle and Sales Phase configuration. In the Guided Selling view, there is always one selection set for 'Sales Cycle'. You can change the sales cycle selection filter, but one always has to be set. The result for the opportunity count will always filter for one sales cycle.

Resolution

This is the expected system behaviour. You can check and compare by setting each sales cycle for the opportunity OWL advanced view during your search.
