3337019 - How to avoid pushing down filters, expressions, or joins to the remote database in SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

SDI defaults to pushing down as many operations as possible to the remote database. You may want to avoid pushing down functions, filters, or other features to the remote database if: 

  • an error occurs during execution of a query that uses pushdown.
  • performance of the query is improved when executed mostly in HANA rather than the remote database.
  • comparing query performance between the source database and HANA.
