SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Overview and Search for “Depreciation Methods” Activity
3. Click on Edit Depreciation Methods and select Depreciation method ABC
4. Perform some changes within e.g. Unchecking/Checking the flag 'Enable Temporary Shutdown' and mentioned error is displayed after 'Save' button is clicked.

When the depreciation method is already used by an asset(capitalized or retired), the changes to the method will be prevented

A temporary change in the depreciation method for the affected asset can solve the issue. Currently the asset will have Depreciation method ABC and it needs to be changed to L010(example), save the changes in Configuration. Again revert from L010 to ABC
