3337492 - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86) version between a core client and the SAP GUI patch doesn't match

Symptom

SAP GUI patch comes with higher Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86) version than one contained in a specific core client and it is necessary to know:

  • If newer library (delivered by SAP) is mandatory for the correct functioning of SAP GUI;
  • If it is possible to run SAP GUI in older vcXXredist x86 enviroment and use the installation parameter /DisableRuntimeInstall in the command line to disable/prevent the installation of all Visual C++ Runtimes during SAP GUI upgrading.
