Environment

Reproducing the Issue
Scenario1:
1. Learning Administration > Import Content > Select a file that the file name is longer than 60 bytes.
2. Import Summary > Edit Content Object IDs
3. Imported file name applies to content object ID automatically, but it gets cut off halfway.
* If the file name contains Japanese/Chinese characters, garbled character may occur at the end of the ID.
Scenario2:
1. Learning Administration > Import Content > Import Summary.
2. Edit Content Object IDs > Enter ID that is longer that 90 bytes.
3. "The following Content Object ID(s) exceeded maximum length limit" error occurs.
Cause
- When the content object ID is generated automatically according to file name, the Content Object ID Maximum Length is 60 bytes.
- Each Japanese/Chinese character takes 3~5 bytes. Thus, the maximum length limit may cut off in between a single JP/CN character, leading to garbled character at the end of the ID.
- When the content object ID is edited by learning administrator manually, the Content Object ID Maximum Length is 90 bytes.
Resolution
Please change the file name within 60 bytes.
OR
Please manually edit the content object ID within 90 bytes.
There is no other way to increase the content object ID maximum length limit.
