3338390 - Non–Team Member of the Project Can Release the Time Sheets

You are not ateam member of project however you are allowed to release time sheets.

SAP Business Bydesign

1. Go to Home work center
2. Go to Self Services overview and select Edit Time Sheet
3. Select Add Row and enter the valid From and To date
4. Enter the project task
5. Select Save or Release 
6. System allows the user to release the time sheets

System allows you to release the time sheet because in the project settings for a Non–Team Member, you have defined the value as Approval Required. Hence system will allow the user to Save or Release the time sheets but it will go for an approval. 

You can follow the below steps;

1. Go to Project Management work center'
2. Go to Projects view
3. Select the relevant Project 
4. Select Edit and go to Project Plan tab
5. Go to Project Settings sub tab
6. Under Time Recording section, For Non-Team Mamber, you have to define the value as Not Allowed
7. Then system will not allow the user to release the time sheets

Note- Further, if a non-team member tries to release the time sheets, system will throw an error message stating- Time recording for project not permitted; user is not part of the team
