3339158 - Invalid namespace for Form Derivation Rule ID - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

You want to create a new entry in activity Define Rules for Determination of Master Form Template.

When creating a new entry with an ID starting with prefix YY1 or copying an existing entry with this prefix, you get the error message "Invalid namespace for Form Derivation Rule ID" (/FTI/WEBGUI_MSG031) when trying to save the new entry.

Create a new entry or copy an existing rule starting with prefix YY1. Then try to save the new entry.

In order to ensure a proper content lifecycle, SAP has introduced more strict checks for key fields. The key field in this case is the attribute “Form Derivation Rule ID”, which is technically a free-text. As you have chosen the prefix YY1 which belongs to a reserved namespace, the enhanced check is not allowing new entries with this prefix anymore.

Do not use the prefix YY1 in your rule ID when creating new rules. 

Existing keys are not affected, so you do not need to change existing rules. Even if you update those later on.
