3339377 - The SAC Data Export Service - "Start subscriptions failed" when the SAC model is changed

Please be advised that this KBA is only for situations where the SAC model is changed (for example, adding a new dimension to the SAC model).

You use the Data Export Service (DES) API in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to transfer data from SAC to a target system.
When you change the SAC model (for example, adding a new dimension to the SAC model), you find the subscription does not work anymore.
For example, if you transfer data using the SAP HANA Smart Data Access, you may see the following error:

• Error while altering remote subscription
  xxxxxxx
  sql processing error: xxxxxx

In the DP Agent log, the following error is logged:

• Start subscriptions failed: RS[SACDES]: Failed to start subscription because subscription FactData_xxxxxxxxxxx is not found in CDI provider!

As documented in the SAP Analytics Cloud REST API help page, 
When accessing data via the initial subscription delta link, it’s important that the underlying data in the model for the initial replication does not change during the extraction process.

Data Export Service and specifically the Delta Load feature rely on the model metadata information.
When the underlying structure of the model is changed (such as adding/removing dimensions or columns, changing the date granularity), the Subscriptions for that model are invalidated and automatically deleted. In that case, a complete initialization is recommended after the reset.

Please reset the subscription and reinitiate the task.
