3340045 - Remarks/Comments/Notes Fields in the Communication Data for Business Partners Appears Blank

You have migrated the Business Partners into the system using the app Migrate Your Data. Using the app Maintain Business Partner, verify the Remarks/Comments/Notes for the Communication data like E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone and Telephone for the Business Partner. You observe that the Remarks/Comments/Notes which you maintained is missing and the field appears blank.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to the app Maintain Business Partner
2. Find and open the Business Partner ID
3. Go to the tab Address
4. In the section Communication, for example, against the field Telephone, select the icon Other Telephone Numbers (Others Exist)
5. In the Display Telephone Numbers, the column Comments appears empty

In the Business Partners, for the Communication data like E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone and Telephone, the fields like Remarks/Comments/Notes is language dependent and there is no automatic translation for this field. So this field is blank when you log on to the system with another language.

In the Business Partners, for the Communication data like E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone and Telephone, the fields like Remarks/Comments/Notes needs to be maintained one more time when logging on to the system with another language. 

If you want to see the same Remarks/Comments/Notes which you uploaded into the system using the app Migrate Your Data, then logon to the system with the respective logon language. Alternatively, if you have already logged into the system, you may change the Language settings in your profile using the below: 

1. Select the profile icon at the top right corner of the screen
2. Select Settings
3. Click on Language & Region
4. In the field Language and Region, select the drop-down and choose the require language
5. Save

Once the settings are saved the screen reloads and you can verify the Remarks/Comments/Notes for the Communication data in the Business Partners.
