3340045 - Remarks/Comments/Notes Fields in the Communication Data for Business Partners Appears Blank

Remarks/Comments/Notes maintained for Communication Data (such as E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone, and Telephone) are missing after migrating Business Partners using the Migrate Your Data app. The corresponding fields appear blank when checked in the Maintain Business Partner app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the app Maintain Business Partner.
2. Find and open the Business Partner ID.
3. Go to the tab Address.
4. In the section Communication, for example, against the field Telephone, select the icon Other Telephone Numbers (Others Exist).
5. In the Display Telephone Numbers, the column Comments appears empty.

The fields such as Remarks/Comments/Notes for Communication Data (E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone, and Telephone) in Business Partners are language-dependent. Since there is no automatic translation available for these fields, they appear blank when the system is accessed in a different logon language.

In the Business Partners, for the Communication data like E-Mail, Fax, Mobile Phone and Telephone, the fields like Remarks/Comments/Notes needs to be maintained one more time when logging on to the system with another language. 

To view the same Remarks/Comments/Notes uploaded using the Migrate Your Data app, log on to the system with the corresponding logon language. Alternatively, if already logged in, the language settings can be changed in the user profile using the following steps:

1. Select the profile icon at the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click on Language & Region.
4. In the field Language and Region, select the drop-down and choose the require language.
5. Save the changes.

Once the settings are saved the screen reloads and verify the Remarks/Comments/Notes for the Communication data in the Business Partners.
