3340108 - Custom card stuck in 'loading' state

Custom card continues loading even after pop-up opens as expected and when the pop-up is closed again, the card continues to load

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core

1. Login > homepage
2. Click on custom card that is configured to open mail application in a new window
3. Note that the target is selected as "URL"
4. Observe the mail window pop-up, but the custom card is still loading in the background
5. Even when the pop-up window is closed, the card is still in loading state

The target is set to URL and the popover is configured with "mailto:xxx" to open up the mail application.

• The best solution for this scenario is to use the target "email" as opposed to "URL" to avoid the issue. As per the guide Creating or Editing Custom Cards for the Home Page - SAP Help Guide, Choose Email as the target behavior to open a new email to specified addresses.
• For this to work with "URL" as the target, it is necessary to enable the option "Open Link in New Window/Tab" in URL card. This can be updated in Manage Home Page.
