3340354 - Data is missing in the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) model when you load data with the Data Import Service API

The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC):

• You import data from an external system to SAC using the Data Import Service API (DIS).
• When you run the endpoint /jobs/jobID/status, the "totalNumberRowsInJob" is for example, 100 and "failedNumberRows" is 0, which means all the records are loaded into SAC sucessfully.
• However, when you check the data at the SAC side from the Modeler -> Data Foundation View, the data is missing.
• If you check the data at the SAC side from the Modeler -> Data Foundation View -> select the “public.Actual” version, you should see the missing data.

In the endpoint /jobs/jobID (POST), it’s possible to specify a default value for columns, which is inserted if nothing is specified in the supplied data. On top of this, the service automatically inserts a default value of “public.Actual” for Version if none is specified. 

In your case, in the endpoint /jobs/jobID (POST), you did not specify the version value in the Data property or set another version as the default value of version. So the data is imported to the “public.Actual” version.

If you want to load the data to a different version than “public.Actual”, please specify the version value in the Data properties or set that version as the default value of the version dimension in the endpoint /jobs/jobID (POST).
