Symptom

  • ASE attempts to check out served license from SySAM License Server raising following error in the ASE errorlog:

    SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
    SySAM: Invalid license file syntax.
    SySAM: License feature name:  ASE_CORE
    SySAM: License search path:   /opt/sybase/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/ase_srv.lic:
    SySAM: FlexNet Licensing error:-2,413
    Error: 131274, Severity: 17, State: 1
