3341542 - No Form Template Selected When Trying to Preview a Sales Document

Symptom

You are trying to preview a sales document (such as a Sales Quote), however upon clicking on the Preview button the form template is not automatically selected according to the selection rules.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Taking as an example a Sales Quote document:

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Enter the Sales Quote view.
  3. Search for a Sales Quote document and open it.
  4. Click on Actions.
  5. Click on Preview.

Here a pop up for the preview opens, however no output details are shown and no PDF page is opened.

Cause

The document selected is still open. For any document to be previewed, the document needs to be released first.

Resolution

The system works as expected.

In order to properly generate the preview of the document, you need to release the document.
