Symptom

  • Reference Characteristics not hidden in the app 'Simulate Configuration Models'
  • Characteristics referencing SCREEN_DEP , set as "No Display" and hidden through dependency are still displayed in the Reference Characteristics tab when using the app 'Simulate Configuration Models'
  • In the 'Simulate configuration model' app , the setting 'Show hidden characteristics' is set to 'No' but still hidden characteristics appear in the Reference Characteristics tab

Reproducing the Issue

Access the app 'Simulate Configuration Models' for a Product with Hidden Characteristics assigned.

Cause

The reference characteristic group is a special feature only available in the simulation app.

The purpose is that you have the reference characteristics under continuous control/surveillance. Therefore, these characteristics are never hidden in this group.

Furthermore, the assumption is that the number of reference characteristics is not too large so that it is fine to have them all in one group.

Resolution

System works as Designed.
