Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Personnel Administration Work center
  2. Go to Regular Tasks View
  3. Select country and proceed with Hire an employee
  4. Enter personal data , click on next
  5. In employement data field Notice period is there
  6. If you now want to terminate the employee , will this field have any role?

Resolution

This is a generic field for information.In personnel file there is no effect of notice period on termination of employee. It does not depends upon the type of termination.
