Symptom
When submitting an eInvoice via the eDocument Cockpit app, the system prompts the user to enter credentials (user ID and password).
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- SAP Document and Reporting Edition, Cloud Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to eDocument Cockpit application.
- Select the source document.
- Choose the button Submit, the dialog requesting user credentials appears.
Cause
Missing or incomplete configuration in the communication arrangement and integration setup required for electronic document submission.
Resolution
Verify and maintain the required configuration for secure communication with the respective eDocument service provider:
- Review the setup under:
- Deploy User Credentials
- Set Up Secure Connection
- Ensure that the credentials required for the external service (e.g., tax authority or service provider) are properly maintained.
- Refer to the relevant SAP documentation based on the country-specific solution:
