Deprecation Announcement

With the First Half 2023 Release, the Standard Packaged Integration SAP SuccessFactors Learning and SAP ERP Financials Integration will reach the status of End of Maintenance and End of Development and with the First Half 2024 release it will be deprecated. 

The integration was used to send the training costs from Learning and allow the data to be posted to financial system using standard API's provided by SAP RealSpend application. SAP RealSpend is sunset and no longer available and has no replacement.  Also, this integration has very low adoption from our customers as this involves lot of customization. In view of this, we made the decision to also deprecate the standard packaged integration. 

What does this mean? 

After the first half of 2023, with the status of End of Maintenance and End of Development, we will no longer support the integration package.   

You have the following options: 

1. Continue using the standard integration. However, please note that we will not be delivering any fixes or enhancements as this will not be supported.   

1. Build your own custom integration leveraging the APIs provided by SAP SuccessFactors Learning and SAP ERP Financials or SAP S/4HANA.
   
   

Next Steps 

        Confirm your organization is using this by following the below steps: 

1. Launch the 'SAP Cloud Integration Web application' 

1. Choose 'Design' 

1. Search for the package 'SAP SuccessFactors Learning and SAP ERP Financials Integration' in your workspace 

1. Validate if the package mode is 'Configured Only'
   
   Make plans 

1. If you decide to continue using the standard integration, the integration will remain in your SAP Cloud Integration workspace and will not be affected by the deletion of the standard integration in 1H 2024. 
2. If you want to make any enhancements to this integration for any requirement changes, you can request the source code of this integration by raising a customer case on component LOD-SF-INT-CPI. If you chose this option, please make the request prior to the 1H 2024 deprecation.
