3343807 - How to set auto quote expiration function?

Symptom

Missed to set up auto quote expiration function.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Resolution

To set Quote Expiration Date follow these below steps:

1. Go to Setup;

2. Navigate to Quote;

3. Go to Custom Fields;

4. Search for "Quote expiration date" custom field in search bar;

5. Quote Expiration Date is a standard custom field which means that its Name and Type cannot be changed, nor it can be deleted. Everything else is      configurable;

6. In the Quote Expiration Date window, you can see the Formula column is set to <*CTX(Date.AddDays(30))*>, and Calculation Type to Once, when quote is created and there is no selection for Tab (so it won't be visible to users);

7. Quote expiration date will start to calculate from the date of quote creation, and it will expire after 30 days of quote creation. This job will trigger at midnight only.

8. Also, Set the quote expiration in the workflow based on your preference;

  •           Go to setup
  •           Navigate to workflow/approval
  •           Go to workflow
  •           Go to other quotes tab
  •           Check Quote Expiration checkbox under desired Open status and 'Expired' Closed status
  •           Hit Save.
